“I’m gonna make him an offer…” – “The Godfather” is an amazing film. As I said, I love story structure, and this has 4 distinct acts – Don Corleone, Michael Corleone, Italian, and American. The first half mirrors the second half in many ways – it’s wrapped up like a calzone! Beautiful work. Wonderful cast. The cinematography by Willis is jaw-dropping. And the fact Coppola got his extended Italian family to play bit-parts in it to give it authenticity elevates it to the next level.
