Something a bit different and very beautiful today. Because we need beautiful as well. The wonderful, award winning, back-to-back of “Jean de Florette” and “Manon des Sources”. They have to be watched together.
Two of the best French films ever (in my opinion) directed by Claude Berri from a novel by Marcel Pagnol based on his earlier film. In the first Yves Montand’s and Daniel Auteuil’s characters conspire to steal Jean’s (Gerard Depardieu’s) property. In the second, Jean’s daughter Manon (the amazingly beautiful Emmanuelle Beart) takes her revenge.
I honestly don’t know how to express how wonderful these films are so I’ll just leave it there.
