The Oscar winning “Cinema Paradiso” was written and directed by Giuseppe Tornatore, with wonderful music by Ennio Morricone (he shows up in a lot of movies on my list, of course). If you love cinema, it doesn’t get more moving than this. This is a movie about loving movies.
A filmmaker remembers childhood when he fell in love with cinema, and formed a friendship with a projectionist. If it doesn’t make you happy cry at the end I can’t help you. It’s beautiful.
